The Grant Resource Page

The major sources of grant revenues will continue to be the U.S. and N. J. Departments of Education. The No Child Left Behind legislation is already changing the process of distributing grants, either by formula or through a competitive process. Those of us who actively pursue education grants must be diligent in learning more as these changes unfold.

Grants Alert!
The New Jersey Department of Education's application for NCLB funds to the U.S. Department of Education contained three technology grant competitions for the 2002-2003 school year.
The titles are as follows:

  • Technology in the Language Arts Literacy Curriculum
  • Development of On-line Courses
  • Access-Collaboration-Equity (ACE)

In addition, NJDOE will administer a "21st Century Community Learning Centers" Grant Program, designed to reinforce and complement a school district's regular academic programs. Technology education programs will play an important role in this project.

The NJDOE will release information about these grants through three NGOs (Notice of Grant Opportunity) during the year.
